The Oppo F19S is one of two phones from the Oppo group of smartphones. It’s built on the new generation of mobile processors, namely the quad-core MediaTek Helio P10c. For a start, it comes with an 8 MP camera with phase-detection autofocus, a laser auto focus, and image stabilization, as well as other features such as data transmission. As for internal specifications, the Oppo F19S is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6502 SoC, along with 6GB of RAM and expandable storage, allowing the phone to be classified as a medium-sized smartphone, making it a nice mid-budget smartphone. With a fairly large battery, it should last you quite a while – especially when you consider the low-cost price of the phone. Oppo F19S
One of the key features of the Oppo F19S is that it runs on the brand’s latest chip, the MSMmia P9. Although this isn’t anything ground breaking like the iPhone 4S, it does have some great features. Firstly, it has a great dual-screen feature – meaning you can have the convenience of a small keyboard on the screen, whilst having the larger display of the microSD card. It also has a high pixel density for a smartphone, along with other high-end features such as dual zoom, a solid touch screen, fast wireless internet, and other useful features.
As for the aesthetics of the Oppo F19S, it is pure plastic, which gives it a neat, modern look, but doesn’t have a lot going for it aesthetically. With a colorOS 11.1 screen, however, that’s one problem right out of the box. The color of the screen matches the rest of the device, but if you want to add a different wallpaper or theme, then you’ll need to get your hands on an official android skin. The software is easy to use and smooth, with options such as “light” and “night modes”, allowing you to personalise your phone in many different ways. There are even more customizable options such as a randomiser, allowing the user to set up different results each time you turn the phone on, which can be a fun and amusing feature.
Despite its modern, futuristic look, the Oppo F19S definitely feels more like a phone from South Korea or Japan than an unlocked smartphone in the west. The keypad is made of glass, which looks great when you hold it in your hand, but makes finger placement awkward when typing. There is no such thing as a button-less smartphone. The fingerprint sensor is a nice addition, but since it requires you to place your finger on the sensor to unlock it, the rest of the device becomes inaccessible to you. This isn’t a major issue, however, and if you are planning on downloading large files or using Google Maps, then you probably won’t have any issues. Otherwise, this is a minor inconvenience, and it’s easy to get accustomed to.
While the Oppo F19S might not have everything that you’d expect from a smartphone, it does have a few key features that make it very attractive. Firstly, it has a large 6 mega pixel camera, which enables you to take high quality pictures in just a few seconds. The dual cameras are a great addition, and allow you to take two shots at once – one with the regular camera, and the other with the lens attachment. Overall, this is definitely a step up from the Oppo Easia.
One of the best things about the Oppo F19S is the amazing array of features – including an incredible six gigabytes of memory. While this phone isn’t for everyone, if you are someone who likes taking excellent quality pictures, then this should certainly be considered. Plus, with a price tag like this, you can expect nothing short of fantastic. There are many different cell phones out there, but none can compare to the functionality of the Oppo F19S!
